“A super-cute clutch.”

It all started with a straw backpack Kit found years ago at a New York street market. The bag is no more, but Kit’s sketch survived! Inspired by the ‘bucket’ style, we chose an oval base for less bulky proportions, and then played around with sizes and closure options—which is how we arrived at this super-cute, two-color version with clutch-style handles! We crocheted this version of the Oval Crocheted Bucket Bag using two colors of Wool and the Gang’s . This biodegradable, vegan yarn is made of 100% long wood fiber—essentially paper. And it’s very crochet friendly! Lightweight, quick-drying, and with excellent structure, Ra-Ra Raffia makes a perfectly summer-ready little clutch.

YARN
2 skeins (273 yds/250m each); 1 skein each in 2 colors.
Designate Colors A and B. Or approx. 273 yds/250m in Color A and 50 yds/46m in Color B of an equivalent light worsted-weight paper yarn.
